the dream
piano piano is a small dating service in London. A concierge coordinates brief, real-world encounters between members at the places they were already going. Below, how it works
not an algorithm. A CONCIERGE.
piano piano doesn't match you to a profile. It places you in the same room as someone worth meeting — naturally, with no pressure, and no swiping required. Here is how.
01 Apply for Membership
Every member is reviewed by hand. No instant sign-ups. The application process is the first signal of intent — and it is how we keep the community worth belonging to.
02 share your plans with your concierge
Tell your concierge what you are doing this week — a Saturday morning coffee in Marylebone, a visit to the Tate, a hike in Hampstead Heath. The more you share, the more your concierge can work with. Think of it as telling a trusted friend what your week looks like.
03 your concierge coordinates behind the scenes
When another verified member has compatible plans — same area, similar interests, right timing — your concierge quietly coordinates. You both continue your day as normal. Nothing changes until thirty minutes before.
04 a live selfie exchange, 30 minutes before you meet
Shortly before the coordinated time, your concierge asks both members to take a current selfie. These are exchanged through the app so you can recognise each other in the room. No profile browsing before, no curated photos — just a real, present image of who you are about to meet.
05 A brief, natural hello
Approach, introduce yourself by first name, and let the moment be what it is. piano piano encourages brief introductions — no pressure to perform, no need to impress on the spot. You are not on a date. You are simply meeting someone.
06 twelve hours to decide
After the encounter, you have twelve hours before piano piano checks in with you both. This is intentional. It removes the pressure of an in-person decision and gives the moment space to settle. If both members want to connect, your concierge shares contact details and steps back entirely. What happens next is yours.
a note on pace. Members can join up to two plans per week. This is not a limitation — it is the pointThis is not a limitation. piano piano means slowly, slowly. The value of each encounter comes from its scarcity.
piano piano is preparing to launch in London. We're not quite ready — but we're close. If you'd like to be among the first to know when membership opens, leave your details below. No noise, no newsletters. Just a quiet note when the time is right.
